०२Same hands

The studio that builds your mandap on Tuesday builds your keynote on Friday: same drawings, same discipline.

The corporate wing is not a second business with a borrowed name. It is the same sixty people, the same Taloja works, the same production office that runs four hundred-guest weddings, pointed at a launch, a conference, an award night. The discipline that a wedding demands is exactly what a board expects.

One cue sheet. Two hundred and twelve rows. Read out loud the night before. A corporate production lives or dies on timing, and timing is the house’s native language. We have been counting in beats since 2009.

Launches & reveals

A reveal is a single second of theatre wrapped in three months of secrecy. The house rehearses launches under NDA, with the product covered until the cue, and builds the room so that one thousand four hundred people gasp at the same instant.

The cobalt launch in the archive ran nine rehearsals before doors. The product was on stage for ninety seconds. Everything before it is built to make those ninety seconds inevitable: the walk-in, the press room, the morning-after registration.

Conferences & MICE

A three-day conference is a small city the house builds and then runs: a thousand delegates, a registration desk that does not queue, a stage that resets between sessions in four minutes, and a green room where the keynote can actually think.

The production office writes the cue sheet to the minute and staffs the floor so that a delegate never has to ask a question twice. MICE is logistics worn as hospitality. When it works, no one sees the machine.

Galas & award nights

An award night is a wedding with a worse run of show, and the house treats it with the same respect. The arrival, the seating plan that keeps the right people apart, the auction that has to raise a real number before the room loses its nerve.

We have run a charity gala inside a closed museum and a black-tie awards dinner for nine hundred where every winner reached the stage in under twelve seconds. The glamour is the easy part. The timing is the craft.

Fashion & culture

Runways, vernissages, the opening night of a season. Cultural production is where the house is closest to its origins, the founder began as a set decorator, and it shows in the restraint. The clothes lead. The art leads. The room gets out of the way and lights it perfectly.

A fashion show is twelve minutes and unforgiving. The house builds the back-of-house with the same care as the front: the dressing order, the music cut to the walk, the lighting state that changes on the model's heel and not a frame later.

Concerts & entertainment

When a brand puts an artist on stage, the production has to disappear so the act can land. The house builds the wall, rigs the rig, flies the sound and then hands the night to the performer. A twenty-eight-metre LED wall, a barricade that holds, a crowd that leaves safely.

Entertainment is the one corporate format where the audience is allowed to forget there is a client at all. That is the brief, and the house delivers it by being completely invisible from the moment the lights go down.

Retreats & offsites

A leadership offsite is a corporate event that has to feel like none. The house builds the long table under string lights, the bonfire that the strategy session migrates to, the dinner that makes a team say the thing they came to say.

We design retreats to a rhythm rather than a run of show: work in the morning, the country in the afternoon, a table at night that nobody wants to leave. The agenda is the client's. The evenings are ours.

०४An annual commission

Diwali,by the House.

A company’s Diwali is the one evening of the year it throws for itself, and most firms outsource it to a tambola night. The house treats it as a designed cultural production: a marigold floor laid by hand, a lamp lighting that actually means something, a sit-down dinner Chef Meera Pillai writes for two thousand without it tasting like it was cooked for two thousand.

Several firms now reserve the house a year in advance for the same week. It has become a standing commission: the year-end party, the winter gala, the new-year night. An annual rhythm the company comes to expect and the house comes to know by heart.

The shorter,louder formats.

Pop-ups, atrium takeovers, a brand that needs to own a public space for three days and then vanish without a trace. Activations are built fast and struck faster, and the house approaches them like a small touring production: a kit that travels, a crew that knows it cold, a footprint that leaves the floor exactly as it found it.

The discipline is restraint. A good activation says one thing clearly to a stranger walking past in four seconds. The house drafts those four seconds as carefully as it drafts a four-day wedding.

The same hands drawthe mandap and the stage.

There is no separate corporate team and no separate corporate standard. The brief changes; the listening, the drawing, the build and the quiet after do not. This is how a mehfil is made, whatever the occasion calls itself.
