Night Drive
A 90 second launch film for an electric coupe, shot across a single blue hour as the city went dark.
Aether asked for a launch film that felt less like an ad and more like a memory of a drive you never wanted to end. We built the whole piece around a single moving hour, the blue minutes when a city turns its lights on, so the car reads as a silhouette of light rather than a list of features.
We scouted for reflective tarmac and long uninterrupted lines, then locked a shoot window of forty minutes a night across three nights to hold the exact same sky. A tracking car carried a stabilised head while a second unit flew the skyline for the wides.
In the grade we pushed a cool platinum into the highlights and let the shadows fall to near black, so chrome and rain did most of the talking. Sound was scored to the speed of the reflections, not the engine.
