Neon Hours
A one room performance video lit entirely with practicals, built to feel like 3am in a city that never closes.
The brief
For Tashan's lead single we wanted heat and saturation without ever leaving one room. Every source on set was a practical the audience could see, neon tube, bare bulb, phone screen, so the colour had a reason to exist.
The art team built a modular set on castors so we could reshape the room between takes and never break the artist's flow. A gaffer rig on a pre programmed cue let the lights perform with the track.
We cut to the breath of the vocal rather than the beat, holding longer than feels comfortable so the few hard cuts land like a snare.
