How to Request a Cancellation
To cancel, please send us your request in writing so that we have a clear record and can act on it quickly. Email director@4amtech.com or message us on WhatsApp at +91 93228 20524, and include your order or payment reference (the invoice number or the Razorpay payment reference) along with the name of the project or service. We will acknowledge your request, confirm the effective date of the cancellation, and tell you in writing what has been completed and what, if anything, is payable or refundable under our Refund Policy.

- Quote your order or payment reference and the project or service name.
- The cancellation takes effect from the date we receive your written request, not before.
Cancellation Before Any Work Begins
This is the cleanest case. If you cancel after booking but before we have started any work on your project, you receive a refund of the amount paid, less the third-party payment gateway charges (Razorpay) and a small, non-recoverable administrative cost, both of which cannot be reclaimed once a payment has been processed. The exact figures and deductions are set out in our Refund Policy, and we keep the logic consistent across both documents. Where applicable, we will issue a revised GST invoice to reflect the adjusted amount.
Cancellation After Work Has Started
Once work is underway, charges apply for the work completed and the resources committed up to the date of your written cancellation request. This covers design, development, content, any third-party licences or tools purchased for your project, and the time our team has already spent. We will share a short written breakdown of what has been done. Any balance is then handled in line with our Refund Policy: if you have paid more than the value of the work done, the difference (less gateway and administrative costs) is refunded; if the work done exceeds what you have paid, the shortfall is invoiced to you, with GST added.
Fixed Packages and Custom Milestone Projects
How a cancellation settles depends on how your engagement was structured, and the structure is written into your proposal before we start. For fixed packages, we assess the proportion of the package that has been delivered and charge for that completed portion. For custom milestone projects, settlement follows the milestone structure recorded in your proposal: a booking amount to start, one or more progress payments, and a final payment before handover. Completed and accepted milestones are payable in full, and any milestone in progress is charged on a pro-rata basis for the work actually done.
- Fixed packages: charged for the delivered proportion of the package.
- Milestone projects: completed milestones are payable in full, and an in-progress milestone is pro-rated.
- The split that applies to you is the one recorded in your signed proposal.
Subscription, Retainer, and Recurring Services
For recurring services such as SEO plans, support and maintenance plans, and the monthly running cost of AI agents and WhatsApp automation, you may cancel with at least 30 days' written notice. The current paid cycle continues and is honoured to the end of its term, so you keep the service you have already paid for, and there is simply no further renewal after that. Because these are ongoing services delivered during the paid period, fees for the current cycle are not refundable. We will confirm your final service date in writing.
- Give at least 30 days' written notice to cancel a recurring plan.
- The current paid cycle runs to its natural end, with no auto-renewal afterwards.
- Fees for a cycle already in progress are not refunded, as the service is being provided.
Cancelling a Course Enrolment
Our course cards on 4amtech.com redirect you to an external learning platform (LMS), and the enrolment, payment, and learning all take place on that external system. Because of this, cancellations and any refunds for course enrolments are governed by that platform's own cancellation and refund terms, which you accept at the point of enrolment there. If you reached the course through our site and are unsure where to direct a cancellation request, write to director@4amtech.com and we will point you to the correct platform and contact.
Work in Progress, Deliverables, Files, and IP
Full ownership of your project, including the source files, code, and all account credentials, transfers to you only on receipt of the final payment, exactly as stated in our Terms and Conditions. On a cancellation where the project is not paid in full, ownership of the unpaid work does not pass to you. For the portion you have actually paid for, we may, at our discretion and as a goodwill gesture, share the corresponding completed work or files so that the amount you paid is not wasted. Until full settlement, we retain our intellectual property rights in any incomplete or unpaid deliverables.
- Ownership, source files, code, and credentials transfer only on final payment.
- Partial work may be shared at our discretion, in proportion to what has been paid.
- We retain IP in any deliverables that are incomplete or unpaid at the time of cancellation.
Cancellation by 4AM Tech
In limited situations we may need to cancel an engagement from our side: where a client breaches the Terms and Conditions, remains non-responsive for a prolonged period despite reminders so that we cannot continue, or fails to make a payment that is due. In such cases we will give written notice and, where the situation allows, a reasonable opportunity to put things right first. On a cancellation by us, you remain liable for the work completed and the resources committed up to that point, and any settlement (a refund or a balance due) is calculated using the same logic as a client-initiated cancellation under our Refund Policy.
Effect on the On-Time Promise
Our On-Time Promise is a delivery guarantee, not a refund or cancellation mechanism. Where we agree a fixed delivery date in writing and we miss it for the agreed scope, 50% of the payment is waived. If you cancel a project before that agreed delivery date is reached, the On-Time Promise does not come into play, because there has been no missed deadline to trigger it. The promise also pauses for any period in which required content, assets, or approvals are awaited from you, so delays on the client side do not create a waiver and do not change how a cancellation is settled.

If you are not satisfied with how a cancellation has been handled, you may escalate to our Grievance Officer, who will look into the matter and respond. This policy should be read together with our Refund Policy and Terms and Conditions, and it is governed by the laws of India, with exclusive jurisdiction in the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra.
