The bodyis the work.
42,000 square feet of strength and recovery on Dr. Annie Besant Road. Train hard. Leave quiet.
The manifesto
All body. No noise.Half the building trains you.Half puts you back together.
SOMA is built on one idea: the training floor and the recovery floor are equal halves of the same work. Iron, engines and the ring below. Sauna, plunge and a 25-metre pool above. No mirrors for posing, no slogans on the walls — just coaching, load and quiet.
Seven disciplines.One standard.
All programsEvery program runs on the same spine: small groups, tested coaches, progress you can point at. Pick a door. They all open onto the same floor.
Half the building is forthe other half of the work.
Inside the recovery floorTraining is the stimulus. Recovery is the adaptation. The gesso floor — cedar sauna, 6° plunge, four quiet lanes and a fuel bar — is where the work actually becomes you.
The Recovery Lab — Cedar sauna · 6° cold plunge
The floor is coached — every hourProgrammed, not guessed.Coached, not cheered.
Nobody at SOMA trains on a guess. Every membership starts with an assessment, becomes a program, and gets reviewed each quarter — by one of 28 coaches who know your name and your numbers.
- 01
Assess

- 02

A plan written for your body and your calendar. Reviewed monthly, never templated.
- 03
Coach
Eyes on every session that matters. Cues in centimetres, not slogans.
- 04
Review
Quarterly retests against your own numbers. Progress is measured, not felt.

In their words
I came for the pool and stayed for Heavy Hour. Eighteen months in, I deadlift more than my college-age son. The coaching here is embarrassingly good.
Every gym says 'community'. SOMA just builds a 5:30am ride that sells out and lets forty strangers become regulars. Nobody talks. Everybody nods.
I'm 61. Ground met me where I was, and twelve weeks later I was doing Barbell Basics. My DEXA scan made my doctor ask where I train.
The Recovery Lab is the reason I renew. Train hard upstairs, then sauna, plunge, swim. It's the only two hours of my week with no phone and no noise.
